Welcome! Your employer has obtained a housing plan and policies to assist you in the purchase of your home. Homeownership can be a rewarding experience. Your employer’s plan is designed to assist you throughout the real estate process with professional guidance and financially support your move.
Assistance is provided by DRH, the plan’s administrator. DRH will assign a consultant to your relocation. Your consultant will provide general guidance throughout the entire process, coordinate parts of the plan, and approve lump sum funding. All questions regarding the policy and process and all requests for relocation materials should be directed to your consultant. Assistance begins when you initiate your plan packet. During the processing of your plan the DRH consultant will ask you to complete a form with your social security number. Any funds you receive that are used in your move will be appropriately reported as taxable compensation.
It is important that you read your plan material and ask questions if the policies are not clear so DRH can thoroughly assist you as you navigate your plan. After you have read through your plan’s packet and material you should start by completing your plan’s election forms and begin the ‘house hunt.’
The follow points are some highlights of your plan:
•
Your DRH Consultant can be reached at 800-514-7980. Your consultant can cover any requirements your plan contains.
•
You can return documents to information@dataresearchandhandling.com, by facsimile at 866.644.7543, or U S Postal service to the provided corporate address.
•
DRH will execute the required contractual agreements as needed in your real estate transaction. These agreements include but are not limited to referral agreements, listing agreements and verifications.
•
Your plan provides for a contracted real estate agent, whom is licensed in your state. This contracted agent will assist with your documents as they relate to your real estate transaction and work with your ‘support’ agent should you elect to use one through the execution of a referral contract.
•
Your plan’s financial assistance is taxable compensation. Tax reporting documents will be completed, filed with applicable entities and sent to you for the same calendar year in which your home settlement is completed.
•
You may use the mortgage lender of your choice. National mortgage lenders have been secured to assist you with your plan and you offer advantages that correspondent and regional lenders may not provide. Your consultant will verify your plan and financial assistance with the lender you elect to use.
Please be aware that your policy is designed to provide financial assistance for relocating employees and their families in keeping with the industry practice and in a manner that facilitates individual relocation choices and flexibility. Relocation provisions are limited to those expressly described in this Plan. Expenses other than those expressly included in this Policy will not be included in your lump-sum nor reimbursed. Plan payments are calculated to provide sufficient funds as outlined in the plan policies. The funds are delivered in a way to provide you greater spending use and flexibility. It is not anticipated that exceptions will be requested or granted.
